Movember at Key West Video
Today at the Key West Video office I am getting into the Movember spirit!
If you do not know what I am referring to here is a bit of information from Movember Canada’s website.
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of mustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and men’s mental health initiatives.
“On November 1st, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne Australia, this has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 1.1 Million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate.
The funds raised in Canada support the number one male cancer, prostate cancer.”
If you go to the Movember website you’ll find a whole plethora of facts and information to help you better support this cause. You can find various challenges, events and so many other ways you can support victims of prostate cancer.
For example, at the age of 50 you should speak to your doctor about PSA testing however, if it’s in your family history you should get checked out sooner.
