The revolution will not be televised. But your company’s awards show can be.
And if by televised, we mean the awards show is shot for corporate video, then we’re just the ones to do it.
By now, we’re all privy to awards show culture. The Oscars. The Grammys. The Tonys. We’ve seen it all.
But what we don’t usually get to see are the smaller-scale awards shows. These are the ones that happen behind closed doors. They are usually held privately and are invite-only.
Often times, this means they’re a corporate event.
Corporate events largely come as an invitation from corporate heads to everyone in the company. When it comes to different store locations, while all employees are invited, few are rewarded.
That’s right.
You actually have to do something substantial in order to receive an award.
But fear not. Usually, these awards shows include the best in store, district, and/or department. They offer awards for a myriad of things
Usually, these awards shows include the best in store, district, and/or department. They offer awards for a myriad of different things so there are plenty of opportunities for employees to feel rewarded.
The question then becomes how much publicity should be involved. For a lot of retail companies, store-wide recognition is important. Depending on how commercial the corporation is (e.g. companies like The Disney Store), store-wide videos – from training/explainer videos to commercials – require some sort of visual communication. Hiring a corporate video production company to either stream or shoot an awards show is a great way to boost morale and company spirit.
It’s also a great way to stay informed while it’s happening. Sometimes employees are unable to attend corporate events and miss out on their chance to be a part of the action. Not to mention corporate events often include the presence of head office whom you might not otherwise meet. Live streams of the event or taping it to include on a company website later are great way for employees to remain connected to the action.
At Key West Video, we’ve done a large amount of work with live events and corporate shows. For more information about how we can help you, visit our website today!
